Fiscal Court will meet again on August 8, 2017 at 10:00 AM.

Parkers Mill getting first ladder truck

Residents of the Parkers Mill Fire District may not realize it, but they’re about to benefit from the fire department getting its first ever ladder truck.

Ahead of Tuesday’s meeting of Pulaski County Fiscal Court, county officials got a chance to see the new truck which recently arrived and is currently being equipped before it joins the Parkers Mill fleet.

“Pulaski County is known throughout the state as having the best fire departments and the best equipment to serve the public,” Judge-Executive Steve Kelley said. “We are excited to be able to continue in that commitment. This new ladder truck is state of the art, and will be a great addition to our efforts here in Pulaski County.” (click header to read more)

Ammo Casing Plant Headed to Eubank

One of the three pending industrial recruitment projects that the Somerset-Pulaski County Development Foundation has been working on in recent months will be locating in Pulaski County. Governor Matt Bevin announced Friday that ShellTech LLC plans to manufacture ammunition shell casings in Eubank. (click title to read more)
